Title Law Associates and the National Business Institute are pleased to announce that William C. Hart, a WestLaw author and past and current member of our faculty staff in the Philadelphia Metropolitan tri-state area has completed preparation of a new treatise on clearing real estate titles for the use and benefit of Commercial Title Insurance Company Officers, Managers, Attorney Agents, Title Examining Counsel, Title Underwriting Counsel, Title Claims Litigation Counsel, lenders counsel and the real estate bar. The new treatise entitled Title Clearance and Underwriting Guide, is scheduled for publication in early 2009. Mr. Hart is the principle author and Editor-in-Chief. Contributing authors include J. Bushnell Nielsen, author of Nielsen, Title Escrow and Claims Guide and Editor of the Title Insurance Law Newsletter; John C. "Jack" Murray, Special Counsel to the Chicago Commercial Division of First American Title Insurance Company; Donald P. Foster, a partner in the Philadelphia Law Firm of Pepper, Hamilton LLP; and Kraettli Q. Epperson, a partner in the Oklahoma City Law Firm of Mee Mee Hoge & Epperson PLLP. Other title insurance authorities have contributed commentary as noted within the treatise. The treatise is national in scope and fills an educational training void within the current title insurance industry during a time of increasing title claims, real estate and stock market volatility and continued industry downsizing. Most importantly its discusses the rise and growth of title insurance over the past century and cross-references other past and current treatise on land title law and title clearance, including a lengthy alphanumeric subject index and cross-reference Table of Authorities identified by author, book title, section and page reference. Application pending for Library of Congress Copyright and Cataloging-in-Publication Data and ISBN number. 758 pages in length. Pre-publication prices available. Not available on this website. Further information may be obtained from Mr. Hart directly via e-mail directed to titlelaw@comcast.net.
